Stealing Sheep join special guests for Beck ‘Song Reader’ live premiere

Beck 'Song Reader' live premiere album playback at Rough Trade

Back in August, Beck revealed details of his 11th LP, ‘Song Reader’ which, rather than being released in recorded format, will be available as a hardback book of sheet music for the listener to learn and play themselves.

We are very pleased to say that, in association with Faber Social and Rough Trade East, Heavenly Music Services proudly bring you the UK premiere live playback of the album, which will be brought to life by various artists in an evening of live music, DJing and conversation dedicated to the project.

“[These songs], including two instrumentals, are as exciting as you’d expect from their author. But if you want to hear ‘Do We? We Do’, or ‘Don’t Act Like Your Heart Isn’t Hard’, bringing them to life depends on you, the reader.” Faber and Faber (publisher)

On Monday 3rd December at Rough Trade East, Ed Harcourt will lead a specially put together band of musicians including our very own Stealing Sheep, plus Carl Barât, Steve Mason (of The Beta Band), Leila Moss (of The Duke Spirit) and Megan Washington who will play selected titles from the album.
