“Impressive debut from Brighton three-piece…there’s bags of melodic nous just below the surface“

“The band’s debut album sounds how Jack White would be if he were as goth as he looks, or like the PIXIES’ Black Francis on one of his more manic days, or, even, like how The Horrors used to, when they were at their most primal… It’s an impressive first LP
Loud and Quiet

“Spend some time with ‘Annabel Dream Reader’ and you’ll begin to feel like you’re listening to an album with your head submerged in a pool of mercury: it’s heavy; wavy; you’ll feel very high and a little sick”
