New Video Alert | TOY | ‘Another Dimension’

TOY - Another Dimension

TOY have a new video for their current single ‘Another Dimension’ the second single to be taken from their recent album ‘Clear Shot.’

Step into the world of TOY and watch the video here:

“Fast Silver’ morphs from a brooding verse with cheesy 60s keyboards and swirling atmospherics into a poppy chorus, then back down through bridge passages of strange chords and twists. ‘Clouds That Cover The Sun’ with sweet harmony vocals, also twists itelf into elaborate shapes. Contrast with the relentless synth and bass pulses that give ‘Dream Orchestrator’ a Neu! — like momentum.“
- MOJO Magazine ★★★★

“Clear Shot expands hugely on TOY’s early sound and the result is rather inspiring. This is underground music with little concession to the mainstream, but it is so filled with ideas, from the tempo shifts and Byrds hardmonies of ‘Another Dimension’ to the icy one-note organ solos and pretty guitars guitars in Fast Silver, that invites the listener in nonetheless.“
The Times ★★★★

TOY’s 2012 eponymous debut and 2014 follow-up, ‘Join The Dots’, found them thrillingly aligning the motorick tug of krautrock to postpunk and psychedelia. Here, the primary sources are late-1960s lysergic pop and the swoonsome, shoegazing melodies…It’s another fine effort from a band who are gradually building up an absorbing catalogue.“ ★★★★

TOY stride confidently into their future.”
Sunday Times ★★★★

Last week TOY headlined the Electric Brixton in London. Will Hodgskinson from The Times and The Sunday Times was down to witness a brilliant set of new songs from ‘Clear Shot’ as well as classic TOY tracks too:

TOY are not the types to shout, ‘Hello, London!’ before punching the air in exaltation — but there was a lot of passion in the music, and adventurousness too. ‘Times runs free, stretches and it squeezes everything and everyone it sees,’ sang Tom Dougall on ‘Clouds that Cover the Sun,’ articulating the warping quality of Toy’s sound, while ‘Dream Orchestrator,’ from ‘Clear Shot,’ ended the concert with a reverberating, octave-shifting keyboard solo from Max Oscarnold that wouldn’t have been out of place on a Mike Oldfield record. It was exciting enough for even the most Warholian of audience members to nod in approval; proof surely, of a job well done.“
