In the Forever Heavenly corner: East Village and Beth Orton re-releases

East Village – ‘Dropout LP’ reissue on vinyl (with download code) + ‘Circles’ for the first time on 7”

East Village captured a point and place in time. Now, 20 years after their debut record and subsequent split, we are pleased to announce a re-release of the band’s sole album “Drop Out” as well as their last single ‘Circles’ available on 7” for the first time.

“Listening to it now, it [Dropout] feels like an elegy for a particular brand of eighties guitar music, sweet minor chords and Dylanesque lyrics, the kind practised by the Go Betweens, the Weather Prophets” Bob Stanley

Beth Orton — ‘Carmella’ (Four Tet remix) 12″

Not available on vinyl since its release in 2002, ILM have pressed 50 copies of Four Tet’s ‘Carmella’ remix on 12″, taken from Beth Orton’s critically acclaimed – and BRIT award nominated – third album ‘Daybreaker’. We’ll have just 15 copies on our stall, so get there early to snap one up! All proceeds are to go to Oxfam.
