“Cryptic and nonsensical “P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. P.I.E.R.R.E” is a glance into Hooton’s ebullient brand of odd-pop.“
- The Line of Best Fit

“P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. P.I.E.R.R.E is the most forthright these four have sounded to date.“
- DIY Magazine

“Hooton Tennis Club have been one of the year’s most joyous discoveries, a group whose shambolic yet endearing alt-rock riffs have careered into our hearts.“
- Clash Magazine

“Really it’s a load of nonsense (of the good sort), but that’s exactly why we love it.“
- Popped Music

The track will be released as a 7″ on September 4th with the B-side ‘French Crackers.’ Pre-order the 7″ via Rough Trade Shop.

The single features on the bands forthcoming album ‘Highest Point In Cliff Town’ which is due for release on August 28th. Produced by Bill Ryder-Jones and recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, the album is available to pre-order here.
