Gigwise are premiering a new remix of Night Beats track ‘Sunday Mourning’ mixed by Jono Ma of Jagwa Ma:
The beatmaster behind Jagwar Ma, Jono Ma, has crafted a sublime remix of ‘Sunday Mourning’ by Heavenly Recordings signees Night Beats. You can listen to it first on Gigwise below.
The marriage of two of the worlds best new bands was always going to be a recipe for success and fortunately the electronic reworking of the psych R&B hit far exceeds our high expectations.
Lee Blackwell’s vocals are stripped from their usual guitar and drum driven sound and imaginatively transformed to fit on top of a fluid beat that nods to the warm analog electronic production of Jagwar Ma hero Andrew Weatherall.
We’re excited to announce that the band are returning to the UK later this month for a run of headline shows, including their biggest show to date at The Scala in London.
The band are then heading out to Europe for a run of shows, including supporting Dinosaur Jr and playing this summers Paris International Festivals of Psychedelia.

“Seattle-based garage-psych berserkers take it to the 99th floor on an album that positions them alongside Ty Segall and Thee Oh Sees as cutting edge garage rock innovators.” – Louder Than War 9/10
