Over the summer Amber Arcades started incorporating a cover of Nick Drake’s ‘Which Will’ into their set. Now the track has been recorded and is available to listen to.
The re-worked track is from Nick Drake’s seminal 1972 album ‘Pink Moon.’ It’s been given an Amber Arcades make-over, featuring her trademark ethereal, hazy, krautrock sound. Here is what Annalotte De Graaf has to say about the track:
“I’m a huge Nick Drake fan. There’s something intangible and obscure about his work (and especially the melodies) that I love. I thought it would be interesting to examine how these mysterious melodies would function in a more upbeat musical environment. I like how it turned out to be quite a poppy tune but the melodies still add this layer of strangeness to it.”
